It is not yet clear if the new Civic Si will use a new combustion engine. However, it’s safe to assume that the 1.5-liter turbo-four unit from the previous-generation Civic Si will continue. We can expect a slight increase in power over the 205 horsepower (153 Kilowatts) or 192 pound-feet (226 Newton-meters), of the previous Civic Si.

However, we do know that the new Civic Si will only be available as a sedan with an manual transmission. Honda has decided to offer both the Civic Hatchback as well as the Civic Sedan in three-pedal configurations. The Civic Sedan will be available with a turbo engine and a manual transmission. The Civic Type R will also be manual-only.

The new Civic Si will be the replacement for the CTR and regular models when it goes on sale later in the year. Information leaked earlier this year suggests that the 2022 Civic Si will be available at dealerships by the end of the month.
